Am I the only one here who thinks this kind of ignorance is dumb af?
Mate, did you get your financial education on hotcopper or wikipedia? I remember this kind of rule popping up all over crypto forums a while back when bitcoin drop from $20k to $19k and when Ripple was $3.5 (now 24 cents).
Please ask current crypto holders 2 years later how good they feel about the fact that they haven't crystalised any losses all the way down from the all time highs.

And before you say Z1P and Bitcoin are different assets, yes they are. But the #1 rule that you mentioned is a common investor heuristic/fallacy across any asset class.
