If last month's rate of TOs was anything to go by, every stock on the ASX will have TO rumors made about it, last count there was about 60-70 stocks in the ASX, perhaps even more, that had had some rumor made about them and I am in half of them and so far none of it has happened. Perhaps it is an excuse for earnings less than expected.
After Fairfax Financial took over Tower with a 40% premium which was not even seen and not close to what the FXJ said at the time in that Allianz was taking over QBE.
We have had JD/ Yili Group for A2M, Mengniu or Dairy Crest Group for AHF, FXJ TO bid by a PEG, KKR for Woolworths, Bechtel for LLC, SUN for NHF, ENOC for CTX, Total for STO, COP/ EIG for SXY, US Steel for BSL, Babcock International for DOW, Cameco for ERA, Henderson Group for PTM, BTT for PAC, Kinder Morgan for APA, Randgold/ Anglo American for SBM, Bayer/ BTG/ Merck for SRX, Ladbrokes for TAH, MGM Resorts for SGR, Compass for GEM, SGX/ Deutsche Borse 4 ASX (SGX has already been rejected by Gov't), GLEN for BHP, there are a few I have missed for sure. There r just too many IMHO but pls DYOR.
Everyone has moved onto other companies and left poor QBE behind.
