This risk was always there. When PRU released its "master plan" to reduce per ounce costs about a year ago, if you worked back the figures to yearly, I found their costs went up on an annual basis. and the cost per ounce only came down due to PRU assuming higher plant capacity and therefore ounces produced. While a bit deceptive in my view, in any case the real result was always going to be at the mercy of plant capacity and breakdowns. (As I tried to explain to my "knowledgable" broker)...So issues with a fire in the cyclone nest, a substation failure and it hurts me to be right in this case.....
Best thing they can do is start to blend in higher grade finds ASAP.
