Who knows what fuel analysts they employ in QANTAS? Obviously there are issues with this department. I haven't gone over past QANTAS announcements, but they should have taken out many oil hedges somewhere in the high 30s and low 40s over the last couple of years. Now the oil price is on the rise and looking to head back up to the 100s.
Not sure if QANTAS know this, but the Saudi Arabian government need the price of oil above ~100 to run their economy: https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosm...ke-oil-prices-back-to-100-again/#12cf14084911.
