My personal opinion is that the DOW will be less effected than we think over a few day period. WE have priced in what the market already new. In fact, hopefully it will trigger the US to wake up and manage themselves with a bit more common sense.
As for SDL, lucky that we are dealing with the Chinese who have a longer term vision and a better ability to control themselves.
They may see this as an opportunity to cement their deal where shareholders expectations are lowered.
I seriously doubt them pulling out given all I have read and understand about their motivations. If they go out then there are ASIC ramifications to future activity.
Also, I have been in this game 15 years and human sentiment of fear and greed are about as predictable as night turning into day. Always the same.
The trick is to have the ability to see beyond the "day". That is not to say all will be well with all stocks - but IMO, SDL will be ok.
