Hammer you're absolutely on the money - amazing how interested some "non-holders" and supposedly "non-interested" parties are in the fate of this stock and others opinions of it.

As seems to happen from time to time on this forum, informative contributions dry up and it just degenerates to pretty meaningless down-ramping from the shorts ("the end of the world is nigh!" - amazing how long they've been calling it for!).

In essence, today's postings are gross oversimplifications - Arrium is NOT a pure-play Iron Ore stock - it is one pillar of the three units (and a bad but well known error of judgement of management pushing so hard into this space). The other two units are the big revenue and earnings divisions - mining consumables continuing to perform strongly and growing, and Steel's operating conditions just moving back into far more favourable territory for the first time in 5+ years (with dollar's retreat & strong domestic construction activity). THESE are the two areas to watch - treat Iron Ore as just a zero-value side show - the huge writedowns last half have already accounted for this & closure costs, they will retreat just to the one mine & should be able to run this at break even or very small loss - either way no big deal.

Everyone commentating on Arrium as a pure iron-ore play is showing either (A) serious ignorance of Arrium's overall businesses, or (B) are busy down-ramping sentiment in investment community to further their short positions (or hoping to hoover up stock at even cheaper prices). Either way they're not really worth taking seriously.

Re anti-dumping - its still afoot, government has boosted size of team investigating but sadly these processes are painfully slow - most likely to be judgement on it in first half of FY16.

    Cheers
