Weirdly I agree with most of the posts here.!?!
Have been in the options market heavily since 93. Any combination / naked weird anything you can think of I have done.

I sincerely believe that politicians and the financial industry have had masses to gain from asset inflation over these last 10 years.
(I should point out that my grandfather who was 21 in 1929 taught me the options market)
What has surprised me is that if milk bread and petrol go up 10% a year the politicians etc freak out. If property (publics biggest expenditure item) goes up 20% a year, (and shares 20% a year) for 5 years..this type of inflation was not a concern.
Oddly people think they are better off now because the house they live in is $ 800K not $ 300K however the house they could have bought in that nicer street was $ 400K. Now its $ 1.4 million..so um...they are 'poorer'.
So to ANZ
To those close to retirement. Frankly you should have listened to your parents who were around, or knew of the depression. ANZ could be worth $ 4 again.
The sky though may not be falling on our heads. Things will calm down and ANZ will be $ 20.
But a point.
I was looking at buying a Porsche on car point yesterday.
Quick calculation. There is $ 45 million worth of these cars up for sale in my price range...
Thats a lot of money.
Assets are going to devalue, my view....houses will devalue like cars for the next 5 years...so ANZ may be $ 10.
In fact now is the time, in my opinion when a classic 993 turbo is a better buy than a house!
