NC has always been a bit dodgey and arrogant, and now his performance options with FRG and handing them a ready to develop project on a plate, just adds another of arrogance topped off with greed.
He has done well with LYC, however hitting the REE boom, avoiding a Chinese takeover, raising cash and getting LYC to where it is now has been a lot more pure luck rather than inspirational leadership. NC just happened to be driving the bus at the right time when they got lucky rather than planning and executing some master plan.
NC wanted to sell out to the Chinese because there was no way to raise the capex money.
