Latest SP drop is triggered by the competing australia-Asia cable announced by the other group of providers. Singtel, Telstra, Google etc. The cable Vocus are laying is no longer going to be as competitive as expected when they have to compete with the other cable.
Personally I think the news would put a dent in the future potential of the SP. But the current SP is still undervalued for their current revenue and businesses so imo it's a massive over reaction and has brought a stack or shorters into the market.
