I know it happens all the time, BUT IT'S DIGUSTING.
And from what i understand it's also illegal as they are acting on inside knowledge - sell now in the 4's, and then pick it all back up in an upcoming placement at 3.5c.
Not only did they gain on the arbitrage, they sold in non super fund accounts and took a massive capital loss as they were holding from the IPO, they also picked up the stock in their super fund account, for beneficial tax treatment on upside moving forward.
I'm tempted to report it i'm that annoyed - and im my mind also shows the true colours of board too. Happy to benefit "mates".
Bugger the "ordinary" shareholders.
