If you have been following the recent changes to the major shareholder list for Nido you will notice that some have increased their holding within the last 6 to 12 months and others have reduced their holding. You would also notice that there have been some new holders with quite a healthy position.
These same entities are also major holders in other similar ASX companies and are well connected. They seem to follow each others shadows.
The volumes being traded today (as well as other recent trading days) would suggest to me that they are distributing shares amongst themselves so they can achieve their desired holding positions.
At least their trading behaviour is all above board and there hasn’t been any price manipulation as a result of these activities. I am pleased about that as it shows the integrity of the people trading/investing in Nido.
