the economics & politics surrounding a $30mill stake in a company such as BMN is significant, and the potential for someone to "hold it back" is very real.
Sorry to have misinterpreted that point to you ... but I certainly consider it a reality. The difference between getting the shares at $1 if they can keep the price down, as opposed to $1.50 if the market took it away a couple of weeks back, is not peanuts .... many millions of $$ involved.
"Cornerstone stake in a company", or not, they will want to get it at a cheaper price
