It was a non-cash impairment. It is almost meaningless. The market value of the assets depends on what happens in the future not on book value. At anywhere near current IO prices these particular assets would be worth much more to AGO than book value. The sell down and underperformance relative to peers is not to do with accounting adjustments on book value.
