Looking at the chart, the high volume days correspond with the days that the SP rises sharply.

Would a reason for that be, that the biggest buyers are waiting for the sell side volume to attain biggish proportions, so that a worthwhile accumulation can be made in rapid time?

I suppose someone with deep pockets wanting a big stake, would relish the days that these opportunities present.
