Since start of the financial year on the ASX alone, over 19mill shares have traded. I don't have ChiX figures but you can typically add 20% so around 23mill. That is around 7.5% of total shares on market.
In previous 2 months 18.3mill shares traded on ASX, and 2 months before that 23mill on ASX. So maybe, in hindsight, really other than the share price has plummeted in this period the volumes aren't any less or greater than previously.
