totally disagree about usage and people being stingy, the amount of petrol you would save would be enormous over a weekly consumption, its no different if you were driving from Dandenong to the Airport, you could take 5 different routes and save money but you will get there 30-40 minutes later, remember the wealth areas you are driving too after Frankston and also the industrial areas before it, sure winner imo.

people driving from Melbourne, Malvern, Toorak , South Yarra down to Portsea will be huge as well as people driving home to suburbs such as Doncaster, Templestowe and so on, people today are time poor, if it saves you 15-30 minutes then you will use it, especially all inner suburbs.
