They are not perfect Geoffrey (and neither are we), but their hard work and committment to maintain the rapid improvement in their living standards may be the only thing that will save the world economy. Their economic progress is extraordinary and extremely impressive - and by comparison, it makes us look like lazy shifters living on handouts. If the economic power is shifting to the east, we have much to learn from it.

I think it is wonderful when third world countries lift themselves up by their bootstraps and improve the living standards of their citizens. Especially when it creates foreign reserves that can be spent bailing out dumb-a*se Western shareholders like me!
