Australia’s AED Oil has taken a major step towards first oil at its 100%-owned Puffin North East oilfield in the Timor Sea with the connection of the floating production, storage and offloading vessel Front Puffin to the mooring-riser system in preparation for production.
The mooring-riser system holds the FPSO on location, as well as connecting the subsea system to the vessel.
Installation of the subsea sytems is complete and testing is presently now underway.
Puffin NE remains on track for First Oil by the end of this month, AED said.
