    My observation is that if a small oiler hasn't got any positive activity pending then the share price will be sold down. Some suggest that it is "hot money leaving" my personal view is that this is partly correct. It is also because there is little buying activity and the index balancing activity (if the share is part of an index will account for selling as the sector or market as a whole moves down) no buyers then SP goes south. And then there is the CFD activity where various parties short the share via CFDs to protect their position/cement in previous gains against their shares held - they will buy them back at the first suggestion of potential movement. But while there is nothing scheduled then the odds heavily favour no change in SP and they have their CFD profits to reinvest.
    You will note a significant interest in small oiler activity and I believe that this is the reason - some participants seem to enjoy a favoured position in this regard.
