Just for completeness, I did call the company. I spoke to a nice lady who suggested I should email Ralph deLacey. He replied politely. No interest expressed in the shares but said they were aiming to relist by the end of the year. I was temped to ask which year, but I bit my tongue.

Anyway I think I'll take Boothy's advice and dump them on my wife. I don't know about a car, but maybe one day she'll be able to a bottle of perfume with the proceeds, if they ever relist.
