    Back in November (Post: #7363018) I posted the following:

    "..... I asked my broker about selling Singapore listed shares. Bear in mind I'm in New Zealand so it maybe different for you Aussies but it ain't pretty.

    The sale of LionGold (say) would be done through their Hong Kong based broker. The HK broker's fee is 0.5% with a minimum of $HK200. Plus a clearing fee of 0.04% and a SGX Trading Fee of 0.0075%.

    Then there are the fees of my NZ broker plus any FX charges.

    My guess is that 340,000 SBL or 10,000 LionGold would cost me about $NZ170 to quit. This is about $A130.

    My arithmetic might be out a bit and I haven't shopped around for any better deal. (And unlikely either). You might like to get a feel as well in case the proverbial hits the fan.

    If you hold out then the above is a nonsense."
