Just thought I'd follow up on this post to see if you did make the change from ASB? I'm still with them but I'm looking to do some swing trading/ day trading as well as long term investing and am looking for a good broker accessible to NZ traders. Also, are you currently doing both short and long term trading and how do you separate these in the eyes of the IRD? I'm happy to pay tax on short term trading but don't want my long term investments treated the same way!
