I read that you were in Saigon and had to fly over to Singapore for a visa extension... I'm preparing to move over to Asia for 6 months of the year...(Winters in NZ are depressing...) And wanted to know what you thought of Vietnam? I'm going to do the same...cheap $20-$30 a night accommodation and use a local gym n massage clinics (shoulder injury).... Could one budget $400-$500 a week for the basic living allowance?
And what do you do to fill in the day? I plan on using HCMC as a base and do abit of recon from there... Have you re-entered Vietnam many times extending the visa??
