I work and live in the Northern Goldfields, not far from Mt weld.

My neighbor is murrin murrin nickel, (anaconda to minara now glencore) it too had massive start up cost, and financials similar to a train wreck to get going,  glencore devoured them for their technology and massive resevres in boom time.  They paid market price off the asx.

Other mines which are chugging on well include the Gwalia mine (SBM) in Leonora, and carasu dam (SAR)  formaly owned by SOGS which something funny happened that brought them unstuck.  and the list goes on........

These mines produced minerals for an open market place ie describe as perfect market in text books so the producer is a price taker.  And they produce their final product in Western Australia.  They deal pretty much with the state government, and little bit with shire and federal aprovals.

As glencore bought the shares the mine never stoped, the sogs mines stoped briefly and kicked into gear pretty quickly.

So Now to Lynas, they have to deal with the Aussy Govt depts., and Maylasian Govt depts., and somewhere in the mix an Atomic Body to produce their product.

Senario If the mobs who loant Lynas all this coin decided to flex their muscles, (take the assets) could the show go on as a "going concern", or would regulation, and beuaracratic process shut the show for a short or extended period.
