    Hi all,
Just wanted to start this thread to see everyone opinion and outcome prediction regarding next Tuesday APT public hearing.

Link to APT 24 pages submission to the Senate inquiry. Reading through the all pages really boost anyone confidence that this Senate headwind will end in a positive note.

Looking through the report there are very strong statistical evidences and supportive arguments against why APT should not be subjected to the NCC.

    Some highlighted points:
-Afterpay has beendeemed by ASIC not to be a credit provider for the purposes of the NCC scheme.
-Afterpay is implementingmore product enhancements to address identified issues and strengthen customer safeguards, andthere are more developments planned (discussed below). We live and breathe placing our customersat the forefront of what we do, setting the conditions for a relationship based on trust and fairness. Our customers tell us that they value the relationship.
    - The New Zealand Government recently concluded that products like Afterpay should not be broughtunder the scope of local credit laws due to “very limited evidence of harm from them to date, and theproducts are already subject to protections under the Fair Trading Act”. The Government of New Zealand, similar to ASIC, proposed intervention powers as an alternative solution to regulating theindustry.

    -
All in all, we already have ASIC and NZ government supporting the APT model, there's no reason why the Australian government would be wanting to stop our own new start-up from being the world greatest innovative fintech company of all time.
-Not to mention APT contribution to the economy, "The Afterpay platform is adding a significant boost to their revenue, and that merchant sales growth iscontributing significantly to the retail economy. In the past 12 months we delivered some $600 millionworth of revenue to our SMB partners."

All IMO and im very optimistic for a positive outcome next Tuesday.
    As always GLTAH and DYOR.
