"When silex pulled the plug on GLE"

I don't think that they have actually pulled the plug just yet?
I believe they are in a holding pattern at this point, where everything is pretty much on care and maintenance?
I believe that a decision on leaving GLE fully hasn't been made yet? it could be made soon maybe? but I still believe that may involve a 12 month cooling off period of sorts?

Silex have said that they were starting some new laser investigations into stable Isotopes at Lucas Heights and that it may involve stuff for the medical imaging area or something like that.
I am thinking that they may be looking at creating Molybdnum 100 which I am led to believe is a stable isotope, and something which I believe doesn't need LEU or HEU for it's production.

I have also read that Molybdnum 100 can be transmuted, again by using lasers in a process called transmutation, to convert the Moly100 into Technicium 99?
If they can do this? it would be a far safer method for the production of TC99, by not having to use fuel that has been in a nuclear reactor.
ANSTO have recently had two incidents at Lucas Heights that were quite dangerous to people handling the Moly99 which had been extracted from used nuclear fuel.
I also believe that a decision has to be made reasonably soon as to which method they will use for the enrichment of U235 up to HALEU level, I believe that the Silex process may be the best for that but the decision on that still has to be made?
