"Those missiles fired recently by Russia also violated Turkish airspace just to spice things up. Why is Russia antagonising a country with one of the largest well armed armies on the planet?"

I would say the reasons the Russians fired those from that particular fleet and across so many countries was surprise.
It looks like a good tactical ploy imo. Everyone was watching one fleet and they fired them from another and it took everyone by surprise. The targets would only have had a couple of minutes warning at most.
No one expected them to launch cruise missiles from that fleet.
