Exactly, T2T, look at England and try to find who are the indigenous there. They came from all over Europe, and the British ended up having their largest conflicts with peoples who are strongly represented in their genome, or whatever you call it. Even the current aboriginals, supposedly moved on a previous version of homo erectus.
Be it right or wrong, Australia was always going to be settled by one of the major powers of the 1800's, and as distasteful as it may be for some, I think the indigenous (of the time) were very lucky that it happened to be the poms.
