Thankyou Mathias, my question is.... with ever decreasing interest rates forcing many self funded retirees to look to the aged pension to support them why can not the banks give special bonus rates to investors, say 3% over the base rate, this would create a huge inflow of savings into the banks, more for them to lend to business etc. As a self funded retiree I do not want the hassle of tenants or the volatility of the stock market at my late stage in life. ps after the next federal election I hope "you'll be back" Cheers Bunny12.
