The gas crisis – for that is what it is – is a looming National disaster. The Australian economy and, with it, employment is at risk of being severely adversely affected.

Unless the crisis is averted, liquidations, bankruptcies and societal; disruption, including divorces and suicides, are likely to ensue.

In excess of 2,000 brick and clay paver manufacturers are in real danger of
closing down due to the looming gas shortage. The fertilizer, explosives and building industries are all at risk of collapsing.

Central Petroleum Ltd has substantial gas tenements in Northern Australia.
Mr Richard Cottee, Managing Director of CTP, says that in excess of 300,000 jobs could be lost due to the looming gas shortage, but is unable to enter into contracts for the sale of the gas as special interest groups have raised objections.

As a consequence it is entirely possible that the NGP ($800 Mil cost) will not be able to be built and or may cost a significant larger amount by having to move the pipeline around the objectionable land.

So critical is the situation that on 15 March 2017 the Prime Minister was prompted to take action by imploring gas suppliers to make sufficient quantities of gas available to domestic users.

Regrettably, all the gas suppliers offered was to increase gas supply to the extent necessary to ensure that electricity supplies are not affected. That will do nothing for the many industries which rely on gas as an input to manufacturing products as diverse as bricks, plastics and fertilisers.

There can be no more certain method of deposing an incumbent Federal Government, than to lose electricity whilst “Current Affair” or “Married at first sight” is screening.

That is even more certain if they lose their job. No doubt, voters will react appropriately.

History is replete with examples of populations taking matters into their own hands and seeking changes for the better. Change starts with a murmur, proceeds to whispers and conversations, and then develops into a strong and united public movement that simply cannot be ignored.

Brexit and Trump are two recent examples of change occurring from the bottom up over a long period of discontent.

As our representative in parliament, we demand that the Turnbull and State and Territory Governments address this serious and urgent situation.

Time is of the essence, we have a limited window of opportunity to solve a National problem which should also benefit the country financially.

The time to act is now.

You as our representative are subject to being voted in or voted out.

It will all depend on how strong your support is and how much effort you demonstrate on behalf of not only the local community but Australia at large.

We the people, demand a swift and proper solution from our elected
    representatives

    Yours faithfully
