Interesting that Cairn are drilling the northern Fan structure. Hunt oil and Shell had the Southern Fan as both the largest and most prospective fan play. Would be nice to know what has changed their view on this.

I'm sure a lot of FAR longs still suffer "Shell withdrawal Trauma" based on flawed CSEM data and wrote Senegal off as never to be drilled despite discoveries to the north and South of Senegal. This link to the Envois marketing brochure is a great reminder as to why we still hold and may provide a good summary to new comers and those thinking about jumping on board.

2 wells in the next six months should finally close the book on this one good or bad. Nice though Cairn indicate the 2nd well is not dependent on the first well.

I suppose asking for the trifecta with success at the northern fan, giant burried hill and AP at Alhamdulillah is hoping for a little too much, but FAR is way overdue for a change of luck.
