Have just returned from Middle East. Certainly much posturing and sabre rattling but feeling is that much of that is to maintain public difference between Shia and Suni groups and those aligned with USA or opposition. It is accepted that they ALL have a common enemy - radical "islam" and jihadi idealogy - but they agree it is not islam which is radical but the psychotic perpertrators.

Hopefully the bluster and public performances will dissipate into (behind scenes) joint effort agai' common threat to all societies.

none the less, in a spooky market, just need to fart and down she goes.
