One very interesting thought raised in the FAR forum is that WPL may have been able to do a deal with FAR to farm-in to Djiffere block next door with possible free carry on a few wells and convinced FAR to not exercise PE on SNE and FAN. Djiffere is a highly prospective play but is in pretty shallow water compared to both SNE and FAN in deep water, it is undrilled but FAR did a 3D seismic in the last 12 months.
FAR Chief exec, Cath Norman and WPL Exec VP Global Exploration, Phil Loader are both at the Africa oil conference in Capetown next week. Conference proceedings get underway Tuesday. Monday we should see FAR quarterly and an Announcement about Djiffere Farm In from FAR and possibly from WPL.
