These are the facts when dealing with the registry:
100 million shares and rising have been loaned to short in a very short period of time.
The timing of the spike - September 5th we had 50 mil shares shorted (this has been the approximate levels for a long period) however within 2 months we have double to 100 million
The key events that are taking place for FAR are drills, which have been delayed and Pe. If cop/wpl transaction is concluded then FAR comes into play.
As I've said shorting can be for many reasons/agenda:
1) purely a technique to make money in anticipation of a sp decrease
2) can indicate bad news
3) a method used to accumulate
4) a method used to suppress to manufacture price targets I.e in takeovers.
I'm sure others could add more to this but these are possible reasons for the observations of shorting
If you look at previous occurrences in FAR they have been during a process of accumulation pre drill after which the sp ascended rapidly. The question is when will this shorting start decreasing?
