There was a very interesting meeting yesterday in Paris, between Macky Sall and François Hollande.
The rumour that Total is interested in Senegal now completely confirmed as they now have a Memorandum of Cooperation for the Exploration of the Deep Offshore signed this yesterday at the Élysée.
It does appear that not everyone is happy that the big oil companies are coming as the foot note seams to point. Basically saying that, Total will throw their weight around and that president Macky deceive them?
I also like the point that Senegal is going to respect all the previous agreements with the other oil companies, this means IMO that FAR is safe and if anyone wants what we have, they will have to pay for it. Not a bad Christmas present while waiting for this PE resolution!

But despite the entry of Total into the exploration of oil in Senegal, the previous agreements, signed with the other companies, remain “as is”. Macky Sall assured at the joint press conference he hosted with François Hollande.
