RFG has a lot of debt. I expect this is the tip of the iceberg though. How much debt do you think the franchise network has in total?
I would rather buy a company that owns the stores then at least the financials cover the whole business.
Which way are interest rates going to go in the long term? Down until they get to zero, then QE to cure the property bubble. Yes they'll go up over the short term, but then over leveraged owner occupiers will squeal and interest rates will drop. Just have a look at the interest rate trend for Aus over the past 20 years and you'll see what I mean.
Right, so interest rates will go down, which means our ongoing property bubble will continue to expand. So rents will be going up, commercial included.
Where's the rent relief for RFG franchisees over the next 10 years?
So given that, what do you believe the long term prognosis is for RFG?
