The latest Quarterly Report (Item 1 Section 12 .. Subsequent...

The latest Quarterly Report (Item 1 Section 12 .. Subsequent Events) notifies that "On November 10, 2010, the Company and its Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Bernhard Opitz, mutually agreed that he would depart the Company effective December 31, 2010. Mr. Opitzs departure will be treated as a termination without Cause as defined in his Employment Agreement, and he will receive severance benefits in accordance with the terms of his Employment Agreement."

I cannot help but wonder what the reason may be for his departure, given that the project's 'go live' phase is just around the corner. Could it be :
a. supreme confidence that there will be no problems with looming production and operations, and that the existing staff will be able to finish the job;
b. abandoning ship for greener pastures before some bad news regarding production line capabilities; or
c. a personal reason.

I'd like to think that it is either a. or c. (preferably a.). Does anybody know the reason for his departure?
