the laugh and smile wears a bit thin when one is not allowed to laugh and smile about certain "untouchable" exclusions and sects within society.
Trouble with all severely dogmatic "force it down youre throat" brainwashing "religions" is that they all take themselves so deathly seriously - and cannot budge an inch into the future, and in no way can they countenancee any changes or allow new thought streams.
Not nasty - just fed up with all this unending political correctness.
Got a book out of the library the other day on the past history of our district. What do I read first thing - about the "invasion" of white men into Australia, in the frontispiece!!
Some "invasion" - a few crappy ships - full of filthy dirty distressed half starved convicts - oh, yes, a great invasion fleet! Did those poor souls have any say in the matter? It was only thr American War of Independence which brought them here - instaed of the US - the usual dumping ground. Ships manned by wet behind the ears officers - who were probably scared stiff. Yet we are fed this "invasion" dogma.
At that time the aboriginal population was estimated at 300,000 for the whole of Australia - now how could they have withstood future "real" invasions - from countries fair dinkumm about actually land grabbing/conequering, with warships and soldiers intent on taking over the place - between then and now. It was inevitable. If not the Poms, it woujld have been someone else.
Anyway, getting back to my original thoughts; Oh, musn't crticise that group of newbies. Naughty naughty! hey, they may get upset (and murderous!) If it's about us - we have good laugh!
I'm off, as this is a laughter forum. Far be it from me to put a damper on things. As I said, I'm just supporting another poster I don't know from a bar of soap, who it seems had trouble putting up a joke, presumably about Muslims. It's not right that it's an edited, no go situation IMO.
