Yes, but non invasive scanning of bunches of grapes as they hang on the vine for sugar content? No yet.
Agreed about sensors for transport security. It would be an easy matter to incorporate sensors into rail barriers and airport scanners. We all have to walk through metal detecting hoops anyway, it would be easy to retrofit sensors for explosives, biochemical hazards etc. Who knows, we might be able to screen passengers for infectious diseases before they board.
We have to be smarter at tackling public safety on passenger transport.
