The strip ratio would not be necessary if we had the PFS or the company had decided on an economic pit shell and therefore was able to quote production cost estimates for the project.
Based on the last couple of announcements, however, its my understanding that the company is waiting on the discovery of additional shallow oxides to include in its mine plan and ultimately in its PFS. The following is from its most recent announcement...
"The 2012 drilling program largely completes the work required on the Konkera Resource for pre-feasibility studies (PFS) and provides the basis for current pit optimisations. The Company remains committed to identifying an additional 300-400,000 oz of free-milling material to enhance the economics of the project, before finalising and releasing its PFS."
What "pfs" information do you refer to and what is .. "specifically the cost of producing an ounce of gold"
