Woodside is the sort of company that Warren Buffett would
love. It has a giant moat. Try replicating Woodside with $100b. It can't be done. Even if you were to try it would
be impossible with double that sum. For a start they have a
20 year record of never missing a shipment to cuustomers come rain,hail or shine. More importantly, their geographical location make them by far the preferred supplier in the fastest growing region on the planet. Try
replicating that. Country risk and reliability are crucial
in the LNG market. Put another way-if your sources of fuel
are cucial and your choices are Qatar,Indonesia,Russia or
Australia- which would be your preferred choice?
