    andrewk777,

Agreed it is a bit of a tricky one with Au & Ag both @ record highs making the downside risk more of a likelihood although I certainly see more upside potential as the global economy worsens. Gold equities has been largely frustrating for the most part!

Long term though I don't think one can actually go past property but is must be a pure long term approach if yoju kow what I mean.

I reckon if you've got the conviction to sit & wait with your cash you could well be in the box seat though, I guess the trully tough part is knowing when to jump in?

    All the best

    Sierra,

I wasn't aware that renewable energy has surpassed nuclear energy, certainly if one relied on the uranium stock forums you'd think it would never occur! That's fantastic is true, I trully believe that the likes of geothermal energy will have to play a significant role in the future and as such have taken positions to that effect.

As for nuclear energy I can't see a recovery anytime soon if ever given that renewable low risk alternatives are front & centre. Seriously anyone that believes that Fukushima is just a blip on the radar is sadly mistaken, the argument that it's old technology is ridiculous given the sheer number of this "old technology" still in operationa globally. The risk of terrorism/war like events makes nuclear a no-go IMO!

Agree also with you regarding land/farming, we are always going to need to eat & eating fresh quality food from a safe source is also front & centre in an ever increasing number of people's minds.
