I suppose it depends on what you count as success.
It's also harder to measure.
You need to look at profitability for a large number of individuals over a very long time period and who has the time or motivation to do such a significant longitudinal study?
You may find a similar percentage depending on what benchmark you use for success.
I guess you could model strategies, but real people tend not to stick to idealized rational investment strategies.
And the stats on long term investment are? I suppose it depends...
