Updated my schedule for the two extra mines and completed first attempt at this quarters estimated figures.
How do you value a mature business that is currently unprofitable and has negative cashflow? It's probably better than a BNPL business as AIS's business should be profitable again when commodity prices turn - problem is they are fast running out of funds and a prudent lender is not going to finance operating losses and then there's the proposed capital development program of $200mil+ this FY - it seems there will be no alternative for them but to do another capital raising within the next month or so as shareholders are the only ones who will finance operating losses and the size of the raising will depend on how much of that development program they will now want to undertake in the next six months or so.
The only other alternative I can think of is to merge with another cashed-up junior miner. This has certainly become a complete mess very quickly due to short-sighted Management.
