I can guarantee you that COLOSTAT will not be available for free ANYTIME soon via MBS/NBCSP. In addition, the NBCSP is heavily promoting the iFOBT through GP's since October 2022 and not by mail outs. Remember the doctor/patient relationship that strengthens that RHY mentions in their presentations? Well the NCBSP has recognised this important part of getting patients to participate in iFOBT.
Also, as previously stated, any change in testing method by the Australian government is made to replace the current iFOBT, it will have to go through many many hurdles. For one, it will have to go through Parliament to amend the National Cancer Screening Register Bill 2016 and National Cancer Screening Register. Anything of National interest must go through Parliament. No if's or but's, so don't get your hopes up that it will replace current CRC testing in the immediate/medium term.
