Now that we have Dec Qtr Platts coal contract prices (based on Sept Qtr spot prices) we can have a fairer idea of what to expect of TIG this
shipping season with SSCC: $123.50 USD/ton ($174 AUD)
https://www.platts.ru/latest-news/metals/singapore/japanese-steelmaker-settles-pulverized-coal-injection-26026227
Thermal coal has been reported elsewhere @ $112/USD/ton.($155 AUD)
Let's make some assumptions:
That the Sept Qtr shipping/sales will be: 360K ton @ an average price of $110 AUD ton = $39.6 mil. AUD
This is based on 65/35 thermal to SSCC mix at a discount of 35% due to coal being unwashed etc.
The June Qtr had sales of $2.54 mil AUD
Aug 31st update said that 71% of coal mined July & AUG was SSCC with a similar %age being likely for Sept & Oct.
Let's suppose that TIG can ship 120K ton for the full month of October @ say $110/ton AUD due to improved quality:
This would yield a further $13.2 million which would make total revenue for 2018 at $55mil.AUD.(revenue for last Mar Qtr excluded)
All-in costs should be less than half of this.
All IMO, of course...........What do others think?
