Personally I think exploration around Dargues will suprise to the upside.
The engineer I spoke to at the mine site was keen to point out the main orebody was open at depth. Once the decline makes underground exploration drilling feasible I think we'll see resource upgrades. Assay results from the adjacent Ruby Lode will hopefully be available soon.
The sampling campaign currently underway in the surroundng exploration leases has every possibility of finding another resource of comparable size to Dargues Reef.
If further resources are discovered having the larger capacity plant from Bendigo on site will be handy.
I was lucky enough to talk to a local gentleman with decades of experience looking for gold around Majors Creek. He was familiar with all the old workings in the area, their closure dates and depths and so forth.
His opinion was there was enough deeper gold to last long past the planned 5 year mine life.
It's still possible to pan for gold in Majors Creek and get a few flecks of gold. Holding a weighty lump in my hand that had been panned within sight of the town pub really brings home what a prospective area it is.
Personally I think exploration around Dargues will suprise to...
