It doesn't necessarily mean anything - In T/A there is a thing called Gap theory ! - the rule of thumb is most gaps close in time but there are exceptions like breakaway and runaway gaps that sometimes never close.
On the side of probability its looking like the gap on PLS is not a runaway gap given its fallen from 59c to 51.5c so the gap now is only 1.5c below - that is not 100% certain it will fill and its absolutely no guarantee if it hits it wont fall lower
But it would be a good place to look for an entry into the stock when the T/A signals the risk reward returns to favor the upside
