hmm...seems to me that there is definitely an extra "0" in there.
As a drilling fluids engineer, 50,000 bbls is a ridiculous amount of mud required to drill a well. 5,000bbls is far more realistic and likely.
to clear 5,000bbls in 10 days = 500bopd.....the maths on flowrates just makes more sense doesn't it? :)
I'm assuming its 5,000bbls. Safe also to assume that the flowrate of returning drilling fluids will be SLOWER than oil because of the higher fluid weight when compared to crude (used to control the downhole pressures while drilling).
