Quite happy to be corrected there. Most of the data I have seen shows a temp increase of around 0.8 degrees since 1900. Mind you, recent studies in Australia show that that increase may have been augmented through the BOM homogenisation process. Anything up to 0.5 degrees.

There has been similar stories coming out of the US.

The bottom line...globally we are currently spending around one billion dollars a day to change the environment because of a fear it will destroy civilisation. Is that a realistic fear? Basically no. Is it value for money? Absolutely not. Would that money be better spent on solving real environmental issues or other global problems? Quite possibly.
